AquaEZ® Shock & Swim is a non-chlorine shock treatment. This product oxidizes pool water and allows swimming immediately after use, which is a much safer alternative to standard shock treatments. It will not bleach vinyl liners or bathing suits. Use one capful in spas after each use to prevent odors and recharge bromine based sanitizers.

AquaEZ® Shock & Swim contains POTASSIUM MONOPERSULFATE creating "superior performance in swimming pools and spas without the drawbacks which often accompany traditional chlorine shocking" (DUPONT CHEMICAL).

AquaEZ® Shock & Swim is an oxygen-based oxidizer, eliminating chloramines without raising chlorine levels. It eliminates irritating combined chlorine compounds known as chloramines. Shock & Swim will oxidize chloramines on contact without producing other problem byproducts.

Chlorine shock treatments must raise the chlorine level 10 times over the level of combined chlorine before any chloramines are eliminated. This procedure is called “break point” and still might not eliminate all the chloramines in the water. A level of 8 to 10 ppm (parts per million) chlorine for 4 hours is recommended with conventional shock treatments. High levels of chlorine can bleach vinyl liners, fade bathing suits and is harsh on filtering equipment.

Shock & Swim helps to eliminate chloramines. Without a need to reach "break point" Shock & Swim is not dose effective therefore, small amounts will eliminate small amounts of chloramines / large amounts will eliminate all chloramines.
